All drivers must have hazmats. You will have 90 days after hire date to get them. Some trucks have apu's mine does not it luck of the draw. You can have a inverter but you must pay for it and get them or the dealer to do the install. The rider policy is 12 years or older and you must have authorization.

What about Canada? Is that required? Are they forced dispatch, or do drivers choose their loads?

Sorry about giving bad info Courtney. I was just going by what was in my handbook . I did not look at the sheet that had changes on it.

No Canada, You do not pick your own loads. I would say yes on forced dispatch. That being said you can talk to your driver manager if there is area that you don't feel comfortable going to. I have found that good communication is the key. I have not tried to get out of a dispatched load yet. But there again there is really only a few places I would try to get out of going NYC and Long Island come to mind.

I filled out an application online this morning. A recruiter called me about an hour later to follow up. I explained I had already quit Swift to go to orientation at Crete, but failed to meet Crete's expectations. So I am now unemployed, and a little anxious. He was really great about it, and has expedited the whole process. He thinks he can have me approved by later today. If not, certainly by tomorrow. Then I can go to orientation next week, and be right back to work. I am very pleased with this. If the whole company is run this way, Crete might have done me a favor.
