I am an O/O with Quality and based out of the corperate office but run from the Columbus, OH terminal.

As you said, you will need to get specific TERMINAL info, as each one is completely different and affiliate owned. But as far as the company itself goes, it is a good place.

 

I worked for the QC affiliate in Joliet, Il. as a company driver. They treated me well, but like SHC said all the affiliates are different. Some are better than others.

 

The 'affiliate' program came from Montgomery. Each affiliate gives corporate a percentage and gets to keep the rest less what gets paid as wages and costs so they all have an interest in keping a lid on their expenses to add to their bottom line.

Some do a better job than others.

 

is QC completely O/O? I gave my tanker/haz-mat and was interested in them at one time but it seemed as if it was more for o/o. anybody know?

 

either o/o or the affiliates may have drivers of their own plus lease on additional o/o

That one reply was a good one . All QC terminals are affiliate owned and the only useful info will be from drivers at the terminal you are applying to . Be advised though QC runs e-logs and the corporate office manages safety . They want explanations for hard braking incidents and they better not catch you speeding 2 m.p.h. over the limit on a downgrade . The e-logs tell them where you are and what your speed is every second you are driving .
In my opinion it's a driver's market out there and there are too many carriers out there with better pay and better equipment .
