I could see how you could make a good amount with an acct but not as a reg. or otr driver. i have a friend who is on a ded. acct w/ JB and he loves it and makes a lot of money. That is about the only way I would ever go back to JB is if it was on a ded. acct. with somebody. reg./otr-nope dont think so. waste of time.

I know of a few drivers that are pretty content there. I see lots of dcs, intermodal and regional drivers that seem to be doing fairly well.

JB's website is a little confusing. When you read the description of a "regional" job....it will say everything east of i-35....but when you read the description for otr...it says mostly east of i-35 as well. What gives?

I have a buddy that works over at jb hunt, goes by the name e-log slayer...anyways..he said, the regional divisions are devided into 5 or 6 areas. And everyone is dispatched out of Lowell, AR.

Glad to hear that JB Hunt treats its drivers with respect. I am starting with Werner OTR in a week.

I dont understand why you guys go back and forth bashing each other! I like the different stories/experiences others have had with companies. I believe erick, but thats his personal experience, Just because you worked for jbh years ago dont really mean ####! I grew up wiyh friends that worked for them 20years ago and they cant stand jbh, thats their story. Personally I now work for them! Its about what i expected, i aint drinking the kool-aid, but they aint too bad, besides i aint like a lot of truck drivers, You give me a nice, decent or new truck (almost my whole trucking career, ive had a new/ newer truck/tractor) except the last year and a half, was driving a 2005 9400i. I quit a job making 220 a day, call me crazy, i dont care! got tired of it! went to jbh to do 1load at a time, no pressure, want to go to more states i have not been to in a truck, now i did my research and on this website, i heard the regional guys were not doing to well, the whole time knowing if it didnt work out, jbh has local acct. here, have found out they have 3 local accts. So if it doesnt work out thats what i will do, or go elsewhere. by the way, 1st full check this week, gross $1,230. have brand new prostar, but hate the safety device, wingman on it! And Yes the regional guys are telling me they aint making any money unless assigned to rail yards and yes, i was at railyard in buffalo last 2 weeks, now will be at railyard in Harrisburg this week. So thats my story, so far!
