I'm starting training in two weeks on 10-31 or 11-01. I am excited. How was the training overall for you all? I read some where online that Prime will not hire if your over the BMI...like if your a overweight guy they wouldn't hire you. Did you all see any big guys working at Prime or in your training?

Yup, we have big boys at Prime. Its mostly about screening for sleep apnea. I've "heard" that there was a limit at 39 for BMI... I'm not positive about that, especially since that kind of limit (if it exists) came into play after I hired on. If you run the numbers for a BMI of 39, you're talkin' about a seriously "big" fella.

For you guys that went thu training recently...what was the pay and miles like during each step of training? How was the pay calculated during the first 6 months and after that dealing with the $600 per week or the $0.12 per mile.
-
The $600 a week guarantee is only for during the training phase. PSD gets a $200 advance. During my tnt phase we made good miles. That was on the reefer side. Anything over 5000 for the week is paid at the 12cpm rate. After you upgrade you get 34cpm on the reefer side. I'm in the flatbed division so I'll start at 36cpm. We don't run as many miles
-
what is the average weeks that takes someone to upgrade. Such as NON PSD Grads and PSD grad
-
PSD grad could take as little as 6 weeks. All dependent on two things: miles run n when your trainer thinks your ready.
-
I agree miles play a big part of how long it takes for the 1st couple of wks of my tnt phase we were only getting 3000-3500 miles a week then towards the end we avg around 4500
