So true, I heard all the warnings before I done it and still tried it anyway. I stayed out for 4 - 6 weeks at a time and my average take home was around what a company driver made. Some say that is worth it, but beleive me it wasn't.

I am thinking about going to ATS as a company driver. Can any ATS drivers give me some feedback.
1. number of miles per week
2. how much they are paying per mile.
3. as a company driver can you choose percentage vs. miles
4. how much hometime can i expect after 3 weeks -
company is mileage pay..
Miles might vary from week to week.
Which side are you going on ? flats or vans -
I am going flats.
how is home time?
I live in Texas. Where is Orientation. -
you will go to Gary, In. for class on the company side.
Not sure on your time home.I'm on h.h. and stay out a lot longer than most.
Ask the recriuters about it.
Some stay home maybe 3/4 days. Some less. I belive lot depends on your d.m. and how freight is moving.
We have yards in Laredo / Dallas and Houston.
