Listen this guy is a piece of work. He doesn't represent the majority of us. He is a freaking newbie, 2 jobs in 2 months. How serious can you take him? No one is making him run more than he is legally and safely allowed.

Well, their recruiter came in today. I have to say, I really liked him. He was very honest and said, "TransAm is not for everyone". He was not pushy like some other recruiters I have spoken with. And while TransAm doesnt seem like a good fit for me right now, he did change my opinion based on the visit yesterday.

Smart recruiter, which one was he? I would really like to know. Now you see why I don't push for anyone to work for TA. It's really not for everyone. They really should restrict it to 3 months exp required. I feel that larger companies make things better on a new guy. Because lets say you have some kind of problem, break down, out of hours, hooker robbed you, a big company can get someone there quick to relieve that load from you. While a smaller company like TA with only 1200 trucks, its very hard for things to swap out. And I think you should be more focused on practicing other things for safety and logs than worrying about running to your delivery.

That problem exists where I work too, and we have all day cabs. Is it too much to ask to simply throw your trash away at the end of the day?
"No, I won't have to drive this thing tomorrow so why should I?"
