Actually its no big deal. The device is robust enough that I can work around it. POR circuits always were a problem for folks when I was doing gate-array design verification. The designers would get something that worked just fine on a breadboard with discrete circuits, but that doesn't always translate well once you go into an integrated circuit - especially something analog. Quit frequently they don't take into account the difference in circuit impedance and threshold voltage levels between whatever logic they use on the breadboard, and what is in the IC. Even if you simulate the heck out of it, a lot of times it takes a couple of circuit iterations to get it right.

However... if y'all could pass along to the map folks, exit 80 on I44 in MO has changed. MODOT changed the way the exit ramps are layed out after they replaced the bridge last year. Also, Kentucky completed the extension of the Pennyrile Parkway down to I24 south of Hopkinsville, and that interchange is now open.

You have the latest set of free maps. To upgrade you would need to purchase the next set. Remember, once you buy them, anymore updates are free.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I can purchase them from the Rand store? online? and they send a mini disc to insert in the tnd? $89

my tnd has been working so well these last few months I'm afraid to mess with it. There are so many roads changing out there though it gets "lost" sometimes.

Yes, you insert the SD Card in and it will update the maps. Be sure to be connected to a power source. Then you leave the SD Card inserted after the update.

If any issues let me know.

    Thanks,
    Mark
