6 months off and you'll need to take a refresher. Where have you applied? You might have to bite the bullet and drive for a bottom feeder for a while. CRE is always hiring.

Many are hiring....but why 30 days w/o working?
What school did you attend that didn't place you somewhere?

Something else maybe your leaving out?

    For a brand new driver?
2 Felonies will be a tough problem. Big time.

I hope the CDL school you attended didnt promise the world, cause it isn't likely going to happen....and I hope you didn't spend too much money on getting your license...

    :biggrin_25513:

...maybe you can look into something else. You do have a wife and kid that need your help, in the meantime..

If I was in your shoes I'd commit another felony and give whoever at the CDL mill that took your money knowing you had 2 felonies the beating he deserved . You did tell the school about the felonies didn't you ? Please don't tell me the WIA paid for the school .

    Hanadarko and THBatMan8 Thank this.

I had originally said something to this effect but removed it...

I do like the way YOU phrased it though :biggrin_25511:.

How old are you know?, most companies will say 10 years for felony's, if your 21, thats 3 years ago, try a small local company?

    Yes.

    And a little advice:

I wouldn't look into OTR if I were you. Look into local work. Check out UPS, Fedex, etc. Even if you have to build senority by working in a warehouse, then do that. Driving jobs are a dime a dozen. Just because you have a class A doesn't mean you can only drive combination vehicles. You can drive garbage trucks, dump trucks, mail parcel vehicles, etc. Keep your options open.

You could make more at UPS driving a van than you would driving a semi OTR, and you would be at home every night.
