wow that's a good thing that they looked out for you like that. I do have a wife and little girl as of right now. I am in the military (marine corp reserve) so with that has gotten me use to not being at home all the time. 3 weeks out will probably be about the most i want to stay out on average unless something needs to be done at home and need a little "financial stability" I'm going to send them an app. closer to may and hopefully everything checks out and they are hiring in my area.

if you want to be home every 3 weeks i would stay a company driver. just for the fact that when you lease it will take a couple weeks after hometime to get back up to speed on the trucks bills. they do not stop when you are at home that lease payment still has to be made along with all the other charges and fees central tacks on. try to stay company and get on a good dedicated fleet when you are eligable to. i know kraft and walmart runs a lot thru that area you might just get lucky and be able to swing by the house on a 10 hr break occasionally since a lot runs thru that area.

NSB that's awesome man! The only downfall is going to be your home time. Living in FL is going to be tough getting home. Tough getting back out too! Depending on how you look at it, good or bad, you will most likely be out a little longer than most drivers. My wife and I actually used to drive our car to Conley because it was easier to get home. I didn't want to take the chance of having to pay fuel deadheading in AND out of Fl! So that's an option for you. They have a secure fenced and locked parking lot there in Conley. Is beneficial to if you are just coming to the Conley yard you can jump in your car and go do stuff. Plus while you are in school and training you will have a car.

If you need anything just pm me!

One other thing, know you can alway call the 99 and see if you can 're-schedule) the appt. If you can, you need to ask for the NAME of the person you talked to, and if you have an appointment confirmation number, make sure you get another one. Then send the new time and date to your DM and send the confirmation number and the name of the person you talked to.

    About Time -

I'm a new driver too and still learning but here is what I have found out so far. My DM sends me a load and always sends a message need mac 11 on preset. Sometimes I'm driving down the road and get the message. I think they send it out as a reminder and I do the mac 11 when I can. I never do a mac 11 without first seeing if I can do the load. If I can't do it and don't send a message saying I can't do that load I don't have the hours. I send my DM a message telling them what part of the load I can do or how far I can take it before I run out of hours. Or sometimes I have the hours avialble to do the load but can't pick it up till after my 10hr break so I let her know. Since doing this I usually end up with the same load they just reschedule pickup or drop off times. It seems I get better response from the DM if I let them know what I can do.
