I agree on not ending well. As long as the OP and his driver are happy splitting $40,000 - $70,000 before taxes it could work if they encounter good fortune.

    OK guys, this is it.
I am still new here, BUT....
Maybe this could be set up as a new Reality TV show or independent film.
Anytime, could set this up, write off the truck cost as part of the show.
The seasoned members here, could provide the stories and consult for the content.
Lets come up with some ideas and this thing could work.
I remember a oil well fire fighter named RED, that was a gooood movie.

....I did what you are thinking of BUT

I bought the truck myself and hired the said person.

I pay him hourly but I get paid by the load. So far it's working out in my favor. TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, having a good relationship with the dispatcher will make or break your company.

.32 - .40 to the driver, tax free, everything to the trk/trl. Flatbed freight rates are based loosly on tonnage as a general rule of thumb and there are loads strictly tonnage pay. Best way is it base it off how much you and the driver need, then go... Flatbed brokers will include tarp, fuel and extra stops in the rate they give you as well as the area you go...keep that in mind- and some will negociate. The volvo/cummins is a good truck, get all maint records check out rigdig.com also trans craft is on the heaviest trailers out there and you want keep it light, great dane, fontaine are good or other aluminum trailers. A friend did very well out there, running mostly i5. Hope that helps, best of luck

My husband has $5500 left to pay off and we do not have the money to buy it and he can not drive the truck for 6 months, is anyone interested in owning their own truck very cheaply. Looking for a buyer or someone want to drive for Celadon and help pay the truck off. He is sitting in South/ North Carolina border and not able to move the truck. His cell number is 254-709-4689 and his name is Joe. 2005 Freightliner
