My trainer took me to his house once. Met his family. He BBQd some huge steaks and I even crashed on his couch for 3 hours since I had been up all day.

    Some trainers are cool.

This sort of advice is part of the reason students put up with poor treatment and come out with a bad attitude and not enough skills to perform the job. They turn into the "steering wheel holders" so many of you despise.

what is the pam going to do with the trainer? This situation is the reason the dac reports were created. No excuse to treat someone this way

I'm surprised no one here (or even your trainer) has told you about PAM's drop yard in Conley...right across the loop from the south Pilot. At least that way, you could drop the trailer and bobtail to the Pilot for a shower...

Quick hint, if you drop an mty trailer so you can bobtail make sure you put a seal on it first so it looks loaded or you may come back to find it's gone and there are not mty trailers left.

SeaofGreen, I want to come on this forum and apologize for calling BS on your story. If I were in your shoes, I would have walked away, never to return to truck driving. Now that we have the whole story, it all makes sense. This guy should never have been a trainer.

Hopefully, Norma and Carl will get you the results you deserve.

Hey Seaofgreen you did handle this a lot better than I could of done, I hope it works out for you, not all trainers are like this. Some do care, it seems like we hear mostly about the ones like you had.

OK, so you learned a lesson here. None of us knows everything there is to know! So now it's time to put it behind you as a lesson learned and get on with your training!

Takes a big person to admit a mistake. And I was sort of doubtful myself with this one, but I too am now convinced.

That doesn't work. There are enough morons at PAM that will yank off a PAM seal, especially if it is in good condition. Also, what I would do if there were no other MT's was call my DM and ask him if any trailer with a PAM seal was assigned to anyone under a load. If not, it was most likely mt, and I'd pull the seal.

Now, when I ran WalMart for black friday, I occasionally got grocery loads which were multiple stops, and always had extra seals. After 3 weeks of WalMart, I had approx 15 walmart seals. I would use those to secure my trailer. Pin lock, pad lock, and walmart seal...no one bothers with it ;)
