They run all 48 states. Each distribution center runs about a 7-8 state region. I ran dedicated from Indiana to Tennessee to Illinois back to Indiana twice a week for almost 2 years.![]()

Just wanted to throw my .02 in...My husband has been at the Ok dc of Dot Foods for about a year now and is seriously considering moving into the trucking side. He's talked to many of the truckers and the vast majority are very happy with the company.
He's been studying the OK manual and taking tests online to get ready for the written. Not sure what we're going to do after that, but at least it's a start.
After spending over 20 years at the same company in the printing industry, it was a difficult adjustment to work in the warehouse--he lost over half his normal pay. If he moves into the trucking side, at least he'll get some of that back and maybe we can start putting back for retirement again!Any suggestions on making the transition a smooth one?

I deliver there every week from OKC and they seem like a well-organized outfit. If he's already working there and has talked to numerous drivers, he has a huge advantage of knowing what he's getting into. You both should know what to expect for his schedule away from home. I'd probably apply, but I'm too far (Seminole).

if they go back manual, they will probably have to hire an entire new fleet of drivers b/c im sure the majority has no idea how to drive a manual. Im glad I never changed over to automatic..

Eaton told our shop when they mess up (we had 20), to replace the ecm, top plate and wiring harness! That was fine under warantry! But that is about 3 k worth of parts when out of warantry! We had done this to several and saw they were not up to the grade!

Recently, I learned that DTI local management and home office in Mount Sterling, IL. lasped in following through for one of our drivers. Our DTI supervisor shows no respect to the drivers, completely drilling them. Management requests feedback from drivers then does nothing with the information to make things better for drivers and company. No support between drivers. E-logs now make it hard to get home. Since e-logs don't make the money use to. Management needs to take a good hard look at recent events. Listen to drivers!!! Dot Foods/DTI in Indiana their management has no CDL and cannot relate to over the road experience. Now that Memphis DC opening will hurt drivers and runs.
