Ok, now you've got me dieing of curiosity. My DM was also out of Rockwall and was great. Yours wouldn't happen to be Joel or Joe, would it? Wonder why most of Rockwall can have their act together yet Olathe couldn't find their heads with both hands, even if it was (ans usually is) shoved up their ....... woo hoo??

I have been working for TA for almost 6 months as a company driver. The only way I get 2500 miles is kicking & screaming. I get loads taken all the time to give to lease drivers then when I ask why they lie right to me giving me lame excuses that dates where pushed back. I know they are lies because I have run into the lease drivers with my load at the truck stop I am waiting at numerous times. They have not run me out of hours yet in 6 months if that tells you something. Also when I request home time for 2 days I usually end up spending 4 days at home, then I have to stay out for almost 2 months to make up for time off. If you plan on leasing don't plan on going home. This month alone I have had 5 layover days. They do have nice equipment but who can't when you have fresh out of school students paying for your equipment. all in ll its a prime example of a big company taking advantage of the economy & using newbies. When & if the economy turns around I see them going under.

It looks like they aren't waiting for the economy to turn around to go under. They are losing major accounts left and right due to their crazy bad safety score. Kraft kicked them out a few weeks ago so they must be feeling the hurt. Hell if their new punishment policies show anything they show how desperate they are to stop this trend. Speeding 1-5mph over gets you a 5 day suspension, 6+ gets you fired. Improper lane change, 5 day suspension. Hell when I worked there I might just have sped so I could actually get my "guarenteed" time off. I sure as he didn't get that or the respect they promised me. Anyone who is thinking of going here run away now, at a MINIMUM do NOT lease from this mess.

Finally got by the house again and have been going thru my mail. For anybody who has read all these TA threads, you know that I tried to give both the good and bad about them. This is on the good side.
Had a check from them that covered money I had on the comdata card, that I had forgotten all about. It was money that had been put on there at the very beginning of my time there and before the direct deposit had started.
Had also ordered up a copy of my DAC report and found it waiting. The only thing TA put on there was that I was rehireable and only 1 of my 2 accidents was on there. They made a brief statement about what happened and even added that it was non preventable. For that I am grateful and send them thanks. Am curious tho why the 2nd accident, also a non preventable, is missing tho and wonder if it will show up in time.
Still don't think I would recommend this company but they did show a little class concerning my DAC.Last edited: Nov 19, 2011

I'm sitting at orientation today, bcuz they are the only company to hire me out of trucking school. Hopefully this will go well and I am staying away from the lease program.
