central does not want you to stay they want you out of the truck so they can put another student in it with out having to buy another truck. then they can take on more students and get their obama bucks for training them. less trucks plus more students EQUELS mo money for them. its actually keeps their costs down that way.

Congrats on getting your permit!
Since I already have my CDL and am considering going with Central I would also like to know why some of the already licensed guys went home?
On another note, I would like to thank all the Central drivers, current and previous, who post up in this thread. It gives us prospective Central employees a real world view of the company. THANKS!

As for me the straw that broke the camel's back was my trainer going behide my back, without my knowledge and calling safety on the phone to alter my electronic logs. The logs were illegally altered to reflect a lie - 5 minute refueling and pre trip inspection! No DOT officer is going to fall for that. Your logs are a legal document and no one can alter or falsify them.
There were other personal tensions between my trainer and myself but that is that. The Federal government is investigating the company's conduct re me - so I will stop there. The new SMS will help a great deal. Advice: Guard your CDL and obey the Federal Safety regulations. They can save you. -
Congrats Rugerfan on the permit. Now the real learning can begin. You can only learn so much in a classroom and a yard. You learn so much more out on the road in the real world.
Life is good today got my paycheck and had 2500 miles on it. So am geting better at it. Been doing more coast to coast runs the last few weeks so has been nice. Back down to runing the recap again but it worked the last time without a restart so should work again.
Was wondering if anyone used the in-cab for the trippak. I downloaded the software tried to make it work and it says my scanner is not compatible with the software. Called trippak and they were no help they just wanted me to buy there scaner to use with the system. So was wondering if anyone else was using it and did you buy there scaner or does it work with yours? -
one guy grinded gears and another hit a curb. and some jsut hadnt driven in awhile and just werent what central was looking for i guess.

Well h e l l!!!!! I have those days that I grind gears also. If there sending people home for that....... Nah, must just be using that as an excuse.

howdy people! I've been with Central about 2 years and just found this site. To all the new guys best wishes with school and training. I have nothing "really" bad to say about Central, they've kept me rollin and hometime is not a problem living in NC right off of I-85. I'm in Birmingham AL right now headed to the Conley terminal. I don't know it all but I will help the best I can with any questions. Anybody going to be at Conley this weekend?

celticwolf Thanks this. -
It could be... he could of also grinded so hard trying to jsut get to first or something like that too. i didnt realy talk to him jsut heard him talking to other students. It was kindof a bad thing cause then other students are freaking out about maybe grinding a gear and its getting into one guys head really bad

Thats good you dont have anything bad to say about them and its good to see drivers that are happy and have been here awhile. Makes me feel good about my decision to come here. I talked to some guys yesterday who were jsut getting back from the five weeks with a trainer and they were happy as hell and said it was fun
