    He knows.............he just can't help himself. It's the old hammer coming out in him!:biggrin_25522: I've seen Yazoo, Tempo, Icom and many other "CB" radios as well!!!:biggrin_2559: If it talks on the the CB band, it's a CB, (maybe not "type accepted"/legal)......... as in if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck!!!!

    I just now saw that it is indeed a "CB Radio" by definition. Saw Connex and just ASSumed he was making the same point I was. Got me on that one!!:occasion5:

    Just like some ASUME that it is lLLEGAL to modify a HAM radio to cover CB or a HAM radio to cover the POLICE or FIRE or COASTGUARD. MURS FRS or GMRS ..... IT IS NOT. It is NOT illegal to buy a POLICE radio or a fire radio however if it has a scrambler you cannot have the key ....

    EXPORT radios are not illegal to own converted or not ....... AMPS CAN be illegal to own.

    NONE of my HAM radios are modded for CB I HAVE a REAL CB RADIO to run on CB.

    USE by anyone is what they will get you on. Like running a HAM radio on a PART 90 sysrem The FCC has and will issue very large fines unlike CB .....

    So have all the Kenwoods you want .... on CB .....

    Soooo, what all mods CAN be done to my Connex 3300HP? Also, is a Uniden mic ok for this radio?

    I have dual FireStixs installed (using the factory coax that came with the 2007 International) and it gets out and recieves ok, BUT seems like it should be better.
