1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Here is my situation. Spent several years regional in less than cdl straight trucks. Spent 2 yrs regional CDL-A then local under cdl w/hazmat ( home health oxygen etc) 2 yrs. Hurt my back and did 5 yrs workers comp.
Now I want to go back to work local regional or long haul. My back will NOT allow humping freight or dragging tarps. With no time on the road in last 5 yrs I cant seem to find anyone who will sign me on even with my own truck (considering buying that as well possible just running containers). Not willing to run double. What do I do??? Im responsible, and dedicated but getting screwed becasue of my down time. Live in NC by the way... HELP!!!

you may look into tanker work, heaviest thing to lift is a hammer and end of a hose. i run dry bulk, and it is not bad.
