How much do you generally make for PAM each week. I am trying to find a good starter company that will accept me cause I have a traffic violation from 4 years ago . They want to send me to the C1 school but if I only make 400 a week that wouldn't be enough for my wife to live off of.

Jeez....if I was you and I had a truck that was total crap, I'd tell the tester at the dmv...sure, you might not get to take your test that day...but still....

$400 would be a real good week for you starting off at PAM. when I started, I was doing between 450-550 a week, and I started off a little higher than where they are at now...plus I never went home....although I did start right in the middle of the super low freight period in 09

Depends on your state of residence too. Not all states allow other states CCW permits. So if you go into a state that doesn't accept your state's permit and you're caught without the proper confinement of the weapon, you'll promptly be arrested.

I've never looked into it, but I'm not willing to chance it either so I don't carry while on the job.

Commercial vehicles fall under the trickery of the state. Some say you can with permit, some without. I asked a few DOTs and they said since we are "travelling" that it is allowed, some say nope, you must have a CCW.

But, point is moot because PAM policy is ZERO weapons allowed. Now, they may never find out if you have one, but if someone on the road does find out you have one, I'll bet you 2 nickels they run to mommy and tell on you...
