I would personally prefer to keep my job and not end up in jail. If you HAD confronted her, there is a distinct possibility you could have spent the evening staring thru bars.

Keeping your cool in a flashpoint situation is more a mark of manhood than going off half-####ed.

    Maybe I am vindictive.

Call her supervisor and report her for drinking on the job.

We had a driver accused of this the day after he delivered. He lost his job because we have a zero tolerance policy.

Don't have to do it as a truck driver.

Say you were shopping in the store and you could not believe the smell of alcohol on the manager and the slurred speech.

How do you think she did it with Schneider?

Yup.. And what I was meaning was that the attitude of being vindictive doesn't work for a lot of people in life.

But in some cases I will admit there have been times where it was a matter of survival (so to speak) and I have done it a time 'er 2. And not just when I was a kid and elected to throw my sister under the bus! :biggrin_255:

It took me a little of time to post that comment.

It makes me wonder how many times that manager may have done it in order to know the effect on the driver.

I would wonder just how the manager would be feeling if it was reversed.

If only Kansas would see it that way. I guess his pride will get in the way of everything. Kansas should try being humble. Kansas, sorry to break it to you, but we are only a speck of dust in this universe. In other words...nothing. But I guess your so called manhood outweighs everything huh.

Yes, there are these kinds of jerks out there. And it does not matter WHO you work for, you will occasionally encounter them. IMHO, you handled this very well!

So you are willing to throw away a decent job because of someone else being a jerk? That is not being a man, it is being stupid!

Why should he lower himself to her level? If he wants to seek some type of revenge, he needs to be upfront with it. Contact the company in writing, and relay exactly what DID happen. No need to make up crap. If this is done in a professional manner, and he has employer and the tests he was given to back him up, he is doing the right thing.

Now as to your co-worker who was fired for allegedly drinking on the job, did your company just arbitrarily take someone's word for this, or did they do some investigating? Seems that if they just took someone's word, that I would want no part of working for that outfit!!!!!

Are you serious? Was he drunk? If not, then he was wrongly accused and should have not been terminated. What company is this?
