A quick check of the server logs shows that these users are the same person logging in from Chicago. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but Chicago is also the headquarters of Coyote Logistics. While I believe that several of the users who registered to promote Coyote Logistics are from actual carriers, it's beginning to look like Coyote Logistics employees are signing up with their own accounts to pad the reviews and attempt to discredit other members.Whistle Pete, rsconsulting, Wings2Wheels and 6 others Thank this.

Wait-do you mean that sometimes people pretend to be somebody they're not on the internet? I don't believe it.

I've never heard of them and from what I've read about them they sound like another CH Robinson, cheap and heavy.
In the above link I have posted is some chilling reminders that brokers and logistics are nothing more than people wishing to make a living off of the ones who are doing the work, the truckers.
Nothing invested means we can cut the rate.
Thats a warm and fuzzy feel good statement from a company thats grossing revenue of $320 million.
WHAT??? Not one is a trucker and has no idea what its like on this end of the business. I'd like to know what these "kids" are making working in this high-pressure office.
Welcome to Wal-Mart!
When ever you see a "third party" player in the game of trucking it only means one thing, less money for the end player, the trucker.

Well we suspected it was run and staffed by college kids..Guess that was right on the head..
Whistle Pete and 07-379Pete Thank this. -
My company will occasionally get a back-haul through Coyote and they call you non-stop. So I just tell them up front when I get loaded, "Don't call me anymore, I am shutting my phone off. If you want hour by hour updates then call my company."
The last time I said that, the broker I was talking to said that if I updated him personally once a day, then he would not put my phone number in their call system.
That's what I did and didn't have any trouble. But I am glad we don't use them very much.Hanadarko Thanks this. -
Thanks for the link. If you read that last paragraph, you'll see where they come from. American Backhaulers were some dam cheap rate cutters in their day. We've hauled a couple loads for Coyote, typical broker experience. One of the loads was out of ATL,Ga during the spring busy season. Paid very well going NO,LA. We had an injector fail 100 miles after loading, took us an extra day to get there because of it. They never yelled or biatched, just said keep us informed.
Kudo's for that. -
my backhauls from PA and NJ are either CH Robinson or Coyote. heavy loads and the pay is crap.
Brandonpdx and Hanadarko Thank this.
