    Stephan,
Ethanol is the version of alcohol found in "adult" beverages:
"Ethanol, which is toxic to bacteria at concentrations of 40%, is present in concentrations of 21.6% in the flavored product and 26.9% in the original gold Listerine Antiseptic..."
Listerine Zero is the version that is alcohol free and if you use one of the other versions she may have actually smelled alcohol on your breath even though you hadn't been "drinking". Different people have different senses of smell the same different people find the taste of broccolli disgusting or not. It's equally possible she is a hater and you were the target of opportunity.

Mmmmm, broccolli! Eye watering sulphurous farts! Highly entertaining.

We are the pawns in this game. Fighting will usually not help the situation.

Assault is often thought of as hitting someone. But assault can be just a verbal confrontation! If he had gone back and escalated his conversation to an aggravated yelling then the shipping lady could have filed a police complaint. and those that work for her, and also fear for their jobs from this witch, would back up her story.

It is best to just get it out of your mind.

I was just at a walmart and a driver was complaining that he had been there a long time waiting to be unloaded. He asked if they needed him to come and help move pallets off the truck.

He was talking to some shipping manager from off the docks. She was cute, and smiling and told him, if he liked, they could put back whatever had been taken off the truck and he could leave? And he would be banned from ever delivering there again. Would he like them to do that?

As he was leaving I asked how long it had been, 3.5 hours he said... I said, "only 3.5 hours. This must be our first time at walmart, huh?" It was... heheheee

There people in this business that know they have a bit of power, that they can say whatever they like and there is no way to prove that they are lying.

We just have to realize that these are horrible people. Don't let it get under your skin if at all possible.

I want to thank all you guys for your feedback. I'm a rookie truck driver who doesn't know anything about the industry but you guys are the ones who open my eyes to the realities of this job, and for that I thank you.

Now is probably a good time to forget this incident and move forward. You took a breathalyzer and proved your innocence to the company. That's all that matters. Many happy miles to you.

Anyone tries to mess with a man's money and the gloves are OFF! Lots of easy dirty tricks that can never come back on you but really makes the life of an ignorant somebody like her rough. Do a google search on dirty tricks. She'll have a mailbox full of jailhouse penpals before she knows it(just one example). NEVER mess with a person's money/job, food, vehicle or spouse. NEVER!

I work a JCP dedicated account at another carrier. The thing to keep in mind about JCP is that they have the same policy implemented differently at each store. The store receivers are generally great people, but there are a couple of stores I never want to go back to.

Part of the problem is that we as drivers generally spoil the hell out of the stores. I have a working relationship with the store receivers and I have been doing the same group of stores for about 7 years now. I've run into very few bad receivers, but none as bad as yours.

I usually park in the dock overnight, and start the unload when the receiver is ready. This is probably what your store receiver expected. It's also possible that you had a "surge" load and were coming in on a normally off day, and the time was changed by the DC.

JCP can be a great gig. The loads are light, the receivers (yours excluded) are pleasent, and the miles can be steady. If you get the O/O fever JCP can be profitable as your fuel costs can be quite low (I run in the nines), and because it's a scheduled route, you can actually have some home time.

Really there are only two things to know about the job, don't forget your paperwork and don't forget your ladder.

I LIKE the way you think!!!!!!!!!!:yes2557:

Something else to keep in mind here, is that these folks who work in retail are so used to kissing everyone else's behind, that when they get a chance to throw their "weight" around, some of them take full advantage of it. There is no job in the world that is as big a suck arse job as retail!
