Hi everyone I'd like to start off by saying, my name is Nik, I'm 26 years old. I'm having a hard time deciding, which local company I'd like to work for, once I get done going through train at Roadmaster.
I live in Kansas City Missouri, & some of the local trucking companies to name a few are Ferrell Trans. American Central Trans., Cargo Masters, Marty's Trans., Botkins Trucking, P.S.I. Trans, Carter Trans., MO-Kan Container/Distribution, Palmentere Bros., R.P.M. Freightways, Vance Bros. Belger Cartage Serv.
I'm trying to work to work for a company with a good reputation, as far as paying their drivers on time without any strings or junk, if you know what I mean. So if you have heard anything good or bad about any of these companies could you let me know?
Also these 4 companies air commercials on a couple f the local channels, that I've been wanting to apply for simply, because they are privately owned by families that live near by, Prime Inc., Milky Way Trans., Knight Trucking, Palmer's Trucking.
Any and all information/reputations on any or all of these companies is much appreciated, thank you for your time & I hope to see some of you out there on the road someday soon.![]()

Hey, Nik. Welcome to TTR. Try doing a search for those companies that you're interested in and see what you can come up with. If you don't find what you're looking for, just start a thread in one of these forums:
http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/good-and-bad-trucking-companies/
Be sure to put the company name in the title to your thread and you'll get more help, as well as getting a 'Similar Threads' link at the bottom of the page in your thread. Good luck! -
Hi Nik,
Most of those companies seem to treat company drivers well enough, it seems to me that most of the problems occur when you lease a truck from the company. Keep a good attitude, stay a company driver and you will enjoy your trucking experience no matter what company you work for. -
Thanks guys.
