some people just don't understand..the CB and drivers lounges are always ripe with the latest news (wether, true, false or a combination of the both) cause we all know truck drivers are the most informed and always tell the truth with out stretching it....BTW I have some ocean front property in arizona to sell if anyone is interested:biggrin_2559:

as I know I stated earlier...we should wait for the facts as DOT and state Police figure out the whole story....but we should not try to eat our own and throw this kid under the bus...he's got enough to live with for now...

    The facts...
    overloaded minivan hit deer
    minivan stopped in travel lane
truck driver attempted to stop (per state police and skid marks on hwy)
picture on 1st page shows driver tried to avoid (most damage on right side of tractor)
truck driver wasn't speeding or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
people died and it is a tragedy..
    investigation still ongoing...

That's not necessarily true. I had a fatal accident early in my carrer (1974). I was cleared of any wrongdoing. (drunk ran red light right in front of me, two people killed). It affected me, but after a little time off, I came back. It really depends on the person.
If anything, it made me a much more careful driver.

80% of the graduates of CDL mills don't have what it takes to be truck drivers and will be gone within 6 months to a year . That's a conservative figure . A while back trainers and CDL mill graduates that kept up with others in their class said it was more like 90% .
Use a little logic here . Schools and company orientation classes are always full . There are very few new driving jobs created so where are all these newbies going ?
