1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I had a fender bender in 04' The other party was obviously trying to screw me and my Insurance company agreed. I offered to pay him out of pocket and had checkbook in hand. I supplied me with a bogus estimate. My Insurance company ended up paying 900.00 (more than the car was worth)

Is something like this a deal breaker in your experience?

I have no Driving after rev or suspensions but two OWI's from 89' and 91'

    Thanks in advance!

I do not know what 2 OWI means. If it should happen to mean, 2 Operating While Intoxicated, then maybe that might be showing up in your DMV report. But if it doesn't, then don't mention that in any job application. And as for accidents, that will show up on your DMV report, but that in of itself shouldn't be any deal breaker in getting a job. You need to get a current updated DMV report and see what is and isn't listed.

They already know about the OWI's (Operating While Intoxicated) of 18 and 16 years ago. Now it's just the accident. I do have my most recent driving record. In Wisconsin, that stuff stays on your record for life.

Mklanglo, glad to here that two old DUI's arent killing all your deals. I also have that on my dmv, 20 years ago. Maybe its the combination of the old owi's and the fender bender? Still I would think that the fact that it was 3 years ago, accompanied with your full explanation, should be good. Best of luck to you! I dont feel that something 15+ years should destroy your future, not when you havent repeated. ie "learned your lesson". We all make mistakes, we cant change our past but WE can change!

Your accident is not a deal breaker.
Fact is you could have another and with most carriers youd still be fine unless one of them was a fatality.
most all carriers require less the 3 in a 3 or 5 year period same with tickets.
Some r more stringent and will have a dollar value. Some also put more weight on trucking accidents/ not in your personel vehicle.
Either way its always prudent to list them all on your app.
    goodluck
