TMC or Maverick Specialized????

I am new to the forum, new to trucking and what I came here for is to get advice on either Maverick Specialized or TMC? I have done the research on many companies hiring out here in New York City and since I am a career changer I just want to make the right choice. I read the forums and I have seen both good and bad things about them. I prefer to get training on my own but due to financial stress I'd rather opt for company paid training. I heard about the CDL mills like CR England, Swift, JB Hunt, and Schneider National. That's why I want to go with Maverick or TMC. Hopefully, one of them will accept me. I have good work history, no criminal history, no drugs, and my driving record is excellent. Right now all I need is some expert advice on the negatives and positives of both, which will help me make a conscious decision.
