Hokay!Been with Dart for about a year now and they've actually been pretty good to me...kind of putting out feelers to JCT but a little iffy about doing the reefer thing again
(I've got a pretty cushy gig with DART). Only two major complaints about DART have been this truck (07 Volvo with Cummins and Tripac) has not been very good on fuel and less than reliable for first 6 months, and Pro Stop (DART's "unafiliated" maintenance group
). They've actually done pretty much everything they've said they were going to do and have been great about working with me around this &%^$#!! truck, as long as I stay out of Pro Stop. I just did a 500,00mi service on it (a little early) working with Jerry Hein in maintenance who worked with my shop at home. I ended up being down for a solid week (was supposed to be 2 days) and my dispatcher worked with me and got me a solid miler out of the house as soon as I said it was ready. I've heard Highway Sales can be a little inflexible sometimes but they have bent over backwards to help me out when I needed it; guess it is all in how you approach them when you have an issue. All in all Dart has been very solid, standard BS that comes with trucking but no real complaints. I know some have posted bad experiences here, not arguing, I've had bad experiences at other companies where other people are thriving. I'm just putting in my 2 cents as a guy who is pretty happy here. No, I'm not making $5,000 a week,
but I make enough. On track to pay the truck off a little early (incl. balloon payment of $8,000). Paying the bills, supporting the family, paying Most Exalted High Majestic Big Brother Barak and his mob, putting a little aside each week, and still have some left to have a little fun on my 34 or home time. (I'm out 4-6 wks and home 3-4 days, depending on how long I was out). OK, your eyes are probably crossed...need to load up Ultra Dog and and my stuff and hit the rack
so can get on the road bright and early.
