I will tell you this. I got one of the best night's rest the other night at the last eastbound I-40 rest area in California near Needles. So peaceful and aside from the occasional passing vehicle, very quiet. Reminded me of camping with my dad at Elephant Butte lake back in NM.

The only time ive ever been bothered at night is a service plaza. but no matter were you park if your smart, keep your doors locked, and be aware of your surroundings. youll be fine
