I have the choice (so far) to go with Design Trans out of Dallas, what i dont like about them is they are out 10 to 12 days then back in Dallas for a reset (days off) and you have to leave the truck at their terminal...
Other choice is Tango trans...there home weekends and i can leave the truck at the (local) wal-mart...... they sound better but any ideas any other thoughts. Im trying to keep my apartment and have a (regular) life ya right as a truck driver......any help nice well thought out answers please thanks and be safe all.

With ten years experience and living in Dallas why can't you find something local to fit that way of life you're looking for, keep your apartment and actually be there every day? If that's not the direction you want to take then I would do the weekends home, even if it's just for a restart, it's better to get 34 hours off every 5-6 days then to get just 34 off every 10-12, would you agree?

    Sixguns50 and mgt1085 Thank this.

Why would you want to leave your truck with your possessions plus the responsibility of the truck at a Wal-Mrt over the week-end when you could leave it at the company yard and not worry about it ?

If you go with Tango...you're not going to have a life. Or any money.

5-18 hours sitting in line at a mill to unload on line 4. While they say you get detention....that's bull####!.

Bet you wish you had a car.

That would suck to have to limit my options as to whom I work for, because I need someone within walking distance of my house.
Man; the way some people choose to live their lives. Color me confused.

Before you make a final choice look at texas star express
they are owned by Epes . Have not worked on that side
But think it should be close to Epes standard? I can try
to find what i can! You keep the truck and home weekends
pay should be good! Best of luck on which ever path you
    Choose!
