I can see the incompetent employees that the Secretary of State has screwing this up and then the blame is the drivers because they cannot ever be wrong.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
TN already does it. I went down to renew and no can do. I'm officially a #### 4wheeler again.

It just ain't fair. All it does is force me to road test if I do get my card back. it doesn't prevent anything.
Licenses are good for 5 years. So you have to show them proof every 2 years? The guys that are on a 6 month card have to show them every 6 months?
Some like me have to drive 60 miles to the DMV. -
Nevada has been doing this for over 2 years now
-
In Kansas your license is good for 6 yrs. So does this mean we need to go back to the DMV every 2 yrs just to show proof of a renewed Med Certificate?
I also think the privacy concerns are very valid. Some of the wing-nuts that work for the DMV wouldn't know what medical privacy means if they were drawn a picture. -
I got the letter from the State of Illinois. All I am supposed to bring is the small wallet card.
It contains no information except name, address, doctor and expiration date. -
Ok. Says Jan 1 also and every time you renew your Med card
-
So, mail it in, no biggie.
-
sos in illinois told me not to worry till jan 31st
-
No surprise here... The rule is three years old. Feds gave the states until Jan 31 2012 to get in line.
Some of us deal with it already, everyone else will be dealing with it too...starting in about 90 days.
