This is just a problem at the larger places that use DAC.
There are other options, such as construction companies, waste hauling, and others. -
I have a slight issue with construction (Mainly because it's unstable) I'm a student right now so I am unsure about what options I have open, I currently have prehires from May Gordon (I think they do hair follicle testing so they're off my list) and Willis Shaw would you know if these run DAC reports?
-
Others might know, but I do not.
-
Check your DAC before you do anything else.
-
It can take many months to get on their as well.
-
I have requested it, but it takes about 15 days to get here, I had a little panic attack for a minute I think I'm calming down, its pretty much the fact that I am rashly jumping to conclusions when I should step back and evaluate my options, I'm going to call the recruiter tomorrow and find out what action he took maybe mon I don't think he's there on the week ends.
-
Well as concerned as the OP is with hair follicle testing he might need months.
-
Willis Shaw just does a standard pee test.
Samueldoss Thanks this. -
First, the regulation says "employer" which they are not. So whoever sent you that letter doesn't know the rules.
Second, drug test results are suppose to be confidential and only released to your next employer by a signed consent form by you. When you apply you will sign such a consent form.
Since you were never an employee you don't have to list Schneider on the next application. Hence they won't be in any background investigation and you are well within DOT guidelines of being honest by not disclosing them.
You say you admitted "a few months ago". Is that what you said or did you give them an actual number? Few can mean anything including 7 months. Then again you would have to sign a statement also admitting guilt. If there is nothing in writing or your phone conversation wasn't legally recorded by your state law, they have absolutely ZERO proof to back up their statement. It would never carry in court and they better watch their steps.
Sometimes it takes 30-45 days to make it on your DAC report. Some submit online, some submit by mail and it has to be processed.
I would give it a 2-3 weeks and order a copy of your report and see if they put anything on it. I doubt it exists yet. But if it does, you can contest it and get that removed if they did actually do it.
