I think England relies on the old theory for their business model.........

    There's a sucker born everyday.

The England Family ( good friend of mine, is a distance releative to them) are members of the mormon church. And the church does have a intrest in how well they do, seeing how in 2003 when i went to school there, the church had given them some finacial help.

    How 'bout it Jim? :smt102
You kinda left us all in the dark here. :smt017
Seein' as how you've posted in the bad report section I assume there was a disagreement betwixt you and C.R.E., but I'm not clear on whether it was a result of a mid-stream contract change by the powers that be C.R.E.,
    :smt017
or an oversight on your part --- that turned out to be a blunder? :smt102

Sounds more like a long term rental.

I wonder if that criteria is subject to change, ....... legally?

BTW, I noticed that in your explanation you indicated the Big truck is leased from Horizon S&L and at the conclusion of a lease, that same Big truck is returned to C.R.E. and "may" be offered for sale by C.R.E.
Who actually leases the Big truck?
    C.R.E.? Or the driver?
    Is C.R.E. just a middle-man shufflin' paper?
How much of a stake in Horizon S&L do the Sons-0-Chester have?

    Actually, it's every minute.
Waayyy back in the day it was probably more like every two minutes, ...... maybe 90 seconds.
Now-a-daze though, ..... it could be closer to every 45 seconds. :biggrin_25525:

When the lease of a truck is due, you have a option to either re-lease it or buy it. The criteria to buy a truck from Horizons is so low that anyone can buy one. Horizons offers incentives to IC's also, and this is where the 'criteria' falls. For example, you can opt to have the 10,000 dollar down payment waived, provided you select the 1,000 dollar incentive 10 times.

It may also depend on the truck's lease criteria. Most full lease durations are 3 years long, unless you find a previously used truck that has less than that left on a lease. For example, if the truck has 1 year left, you can lease it for that year and opt to buy it at the end of a lease.

The criteria depends on the truck and IC.

Apparently the OP had a different experience.
Any idea what could have happened to prevent the sale?
I could understand if the OP IC wanted to finance the purchase but the credit rating didn't qualify for the loan. That would make sense.
Is the credit rating score necessary to purchase a Big truck from C.R.E. locked in when the contract is signed?
Or is it flexible to fit changing trends?
How does one acquire thousand dollar incentives?
I assume a larger down payment would be acceptable?

Thanx for the info BatMan. :salute:

Ya know, .............. after completing a three year lease on a Big truck the OP probably took good care of durin' that time, ..... all the while lookin' forward to purchasin' it when the lease was up, ...... only to find out a few weeks prior that purchase wasn't an option, ---- wellll, ....... I'd sure be disappointed, :sad1:
    regardless of the reason. :banghead:

I wonder how much has accumulated in the OP IC's Maintenance Reserve Account in three years? A sizable amount I'd imagine.
What I'm thinkin' is, ............ seein' as how one of the most common recurring complaints about C.R.E. is how, when a lease truck is turned in for whatever reason, the cost for necessary 'repairs' claimed to exist absorbs that maintenance account to pay for said 'repairs', soooo, -----

The OP might figure 'e wants 'es money's worth and decides to vent a few frustrations in a creative way, --- creatin' damage that didn't exist the day before, the day before turnin' the Big (damaged) truck in.

Probably be his luck that a Son-0-Chester would change their mind and make an exception to the criteria just for the OP, ..... by completin' all the paperwork for the purchase of the Big (now damaged) truck for the OP to drive and make payments on for the next three years. :biggrin_25521:
    :laughing-guffaw: :smt005
    Ya reckon. :smt047

Being that the OP didn't elaborate, it's hard to tell. His profile says he's been driving for 2 years, which isn't long enough for a 3 year lease.

Idk about the OP's situation...but England is a bad company to have anything to do with. Two friends of mine were lease-drivers for them and both got screwed over.

    Well!
With that detailed information it's easy to figure out how C.R.E. screwed 'em over.
I'm curious if they both got screwed at the same time (three or foursome) or individually (one-on-one) and/or at different times? :biggrin_25525:
