I talked to Sydney Australia a couple weeks ago on channel 26 AM, From my Suburban...Been getting allot of the Bahamas on channel 28 early last few days also till about noon time, then DX switches up to the NE Corner and Cali...Then right before dark, Hawaii starts coming in..."Thats when I got to talk to Australia!"

Once the Sun go's down...so does the DX.:biggrin_25510:

Come on guys. If conditions are right, a stock mobile can talk all over the world. It's being done everyday, by many operators.

This is why ppl who have no interest in radios should stay off the CB forum. I mean, if ppl had an interest, they would be studying and asking questions. Not posting showing ignorance by thinking what goes on 19, happens all across the band.

Wanna have some fun? You can talk all over the country when conditions are right and being patient. But you have to turn the channel.

I usually get on 14 when the band is open...

Auhhh you are on a TRUCK DRIVER message board here. They usually stay on 19. A lot of them don't care about radio except for will it work when they need it. Maybe you should find a message board dedicated solely to 2-way communications. A man of your high and mighty talents would probably be happier conversing with folks other than a lowly ol' truck driver. Course if you just want to sling out the put downs, you'll probably just continue to hang around here.

Yes they can! And I get a bigger kick out of doing it barefoot than with a big ol' "foot warmer"!

So if I put my antenna on top of a water tower that is 1000 ft in the air, will it not be more efficient than if I had the same antenna on the roof of the average car?

Hey! PMS queen! Your hatred for people who have a FCC callsign is getting the best of you. Calm down or your coax is gonna smack you around.

My advice was good advice, and you seem jealous cuz you couldn't be kind enough to come up with it.

Everytime I see you on here you are spewing out something negative about somebody. Not once have I seen you cordial to anyone. Maybe its time to get that stick out of your butt and grow a pair.

But I'm not gonna hold my breath ....
