Jesus, that's pathetic. Was it coming out of Ashland Kennedy, TX?
Not being able to get chemical freight out of the Houston area is kind of like the poor fellow with a fistfull of $50's and no takers!
Kidding aside, everything I read is that freight is at or above the pre-recession levels. This morning NPR ran a piece about the hundreds of thousands of good paying jobs that are unfilled in the trucking industry.
Considering we lost a hefty percentage of our fleet, we should be balls to the wall - but we're not. I wonder if we lose a chunk of freight because we don't have 365-day, 24/7 dispatching?
I've been at spcr too long to jump ship over a few slow months. I just believe the entire organization could be significantly more productive.
Puddin's handle could be Brad Pitt because Brad looks like him. I just get the fingernails across the chalkboard feeling when anyone refers to themselves in the 3rd person.
Major Human Flaw: Some people refer to themselves in the third person.
Response No. 1, by Elsa Ronningstam, associate clinical professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School and author of Identifying and Understanding the Narcissistic Personality: Referring to yourself in the third person creates distance between "I" and "he." So if you have an exaggerated view of how great you are, you could be using this distance to make yourself even bigger. Or, if you've achieved major success suddenly, using the third person could be a way to adjust to the bigger role that's been assigned to you. It's a way to enlarge yourself to fit that role.
With that said, I'll butt out of this page cuz ya'll seem like a tight knit group!
Take care.

They were setting up for the truck rodeo Saturday and some of the guys were thinking loads were turned down to insure a good turnout of drivers from that terminal. I could see that.
No need to back out of the page. I have only met a couple of the guys posting here in person. Not much of a tight knit group when you don't know each other personally.
I was just jerking your chain a little like you did mine a while back. Its all good. -

Got my load off in Oxnard. DH towards Memphis. Wow! Guess I don't want to be near Houston anywho. I am going to stop in Phx to visit some friends. Should be a good time.
-
DH towards Memphis? I am sitting at the Memphis yard right now waiting on a tank to get cleaned so I can deadhead all the way to Cincinnati OH. 550 miles DH. Don't think Memphis would be a good place to be heading.

Yeah Joe in log oops says he has no clue where to send me to get a load.I think he picked
