1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Williston made the national news last night. Looks like long term jobs, 10-20 years per the report.

With ZERO place to live, also per report. Any rental that comes open, will carry a premium.

Same as the boom in the early 80's. 16 ft. travel trailers were renting for $250+ a month in Elk City, OK.

There are ads on craigslist for campers renting for $1500 per month!! "Bedrooms" in houses for $1200. This is nuts.

    I believe it.

When I worked oil field in the 80's. #### locals hated us. But they were there with their #### hands out, every payday. If you were even one day late, the penalties were unreal. There were list 10-20 long for every piece of rental property in town.

I'm willing to bet, some of them retired off the money they collected for rental property during that boom.

Most of the unimproved farm land is $50,000 an acre around Williston and runs from $10,000 to $50,000 in the surrounding areas and counties.

Usually electric is nearby and won't cost a fortune to get to the property. The county water departments are unable to meet demand and often you can't get connected even if it passes by the property.
