We do have very few autos. Most are 10spd with a few 13's and 9's mixed in. If you get an automatic truck u can request a manual and tell em you do not feel safe in an automatic. I'm comfortable saying u would have a str8 10

Ok, that's good regarding the manual trannies. What is Roehl's tire chain issue policy? I'd be starting Flatbed national, I assume these would have filled tire chain racks?

Also, are their flatbed tractors equipped to carry all securement and tarps on [in?] the tractor? (No trailer boxes) Just trying to get an idea what has to happen when flatbeds are dropped or swapped. Thanks

No real chains just some ###### cables but I will have to say they were enough to save me in a couple of bad spots last winter. Most terminals should have some cables.

All tractors have boxes on both sides and headache racks with doors on back. All equipment fits in/on truck. When you relay a load at a terminal you can pick up whatever you dropped from equipment room. The only place where it's sometimes a pain in the butt is Gary, sometimes they don't have what you need to replace and bungees in Gary are scarce. :)

Just got done with phase 2 training with Johnny W. from Alabama. Good ole southern boy like me. I believe I drove him nuts cause I am so quiet. He said the 5 years he's been a trainer I was the quietest of them all. Altogether was great runs these past two weeks. We went from Georgia to Wisconsin. Then went to Arizona and California ( really rare for students). He had never been to New Mexico Arizona or California and were the only three he needed to have drove 48 states so it was an experience for both of us. I got to drive sometimes 520 - 600 miles a day. Was rough but fun at the same time. Test out in the morning just wanted to tell my experience.
