Yes, they do hire students right out of driving school. They have a few selected schools they will pull drivers from. Here it's CCC&TI and CVCC. I went to the College in Hudson to talk to the recruiter for the Wilkesboro terminal.
I have 17 years of driving under my belt. I like it here so far. This month I made the most in a singal month without a bonus included than I've ever made.

The big difference is at Tyson we get paid layover without a fuss. If we sit 24 hours we get paid no ifs, ands or buts. Just this week alone I was paid 3 layovers and still made $1200 on elogs.mje Thanks this.

If you call the number on the website they will direct you to the correct place. In this area Joe Blackburn does the recruiting. You have to go through him before Springdale gets a hold of you.

I've been with Tyson for 3.5 yrs and if your looking for perfection that's a fairy tale every company has something someone does not like. But we've had a lot of drivers leave only to find the grass is not greener on the other side I'm not going anywhere the pay is great the benefits are great and if you can make it to a safety meeting they feed you a steak dinner 4 times a month. I plan on retiring from here and hopefully run part time for them when I do retire.
