I65 in Indiana last night around the 182 (Lafayette, IN). Northbound lanes completely shut down. I sat for over 2 hours (thank God Im paid by the hour).

Couldnt see what carrier it was, but the trailer was a dry box hauling tires. The walls of the trailer were completely gone, just the ribs left. You could see all the tires in the trailer.

Anyone else get stuck in this mess last night?

    That's what insurance is for....

But a truck fire with a full load of used tires? - That always seems odd.

That's ABF non union carrier, some real new drivers there.
Don't know how many time a new driver would show at Buffalo term to get a truck with no keys. seems the last driver threw over the fence in the woods n quit

There ain't nothing like watching metal and rubber burn, 'specialy at night. Last week I watched a parking lot loaded with 4 wheelers burn for 90 minutes solid on the Ohio turnpike at the 56mm in the WB lanes. Looked like a refinery on fire from a distance.
