Hey Lima.....just saw where lightning hit a saltwater injection site in Wise county and on fire. Just reminded me that you work that area.

Good that the water hauling is working out for you.

I've lived in West Texas all my life but this is my first year as a driver/oilfield worker. So it's hard for me to gauge or feel much when it comes to jobs here being effected by ND. I will say I ran into a few guys last Spring who came from the ND oilfield. So I know it does happen. if anything, I would think there would still be jobs avalible due to the high turn over rate in the oilfield.

    Patt52 Thanks this.

i got another job offer today from Silverline Transport in Odessa. they pay a % of the gross and by the hour when you are waiting. they haul sand. they run sleeper trucks and there is no slip seating (get your own truck). there was another place paying $15 to haul water, but i think Silverline may be a better job. there was a crazy storm last nite, i thought the hail was going to break the hotel room window. i guess they do need all the rain they can down here.

We generally don't see that sort of storm this late in the season. It's usually cool fall like weather with the occasional light rain or drizzle.

Anyhow, we're about to head back to Dallas tomorrow but I can still help navigate places if you need directions via the site. I hope all goes well.

    Congratulations Dude!!

You was here what, two days? It probably took you longer to drive here from NY than it did to locate a job.

LOL, yeah the lightning knocked it off line for a day or 2. back in operation now. it also took out a disposal site in montague, county. i was on top of a tank when one bolt hit the radio antenna about 2 miles from me. lit up the tower, knocked all the lights out at the site. came back on pretty quickly. needless to say, i got my rearend off that tank pretty quick after that. it was pretty scary for a while, but just used my head and didnt even get wet all night.
