Conway Truckload drivers APU?

i havent seen any of the new trucks (inside that is) but those fuel fired bunk heaters almost work too good.

 

State idling laws have exemptions. States don't want you to sue them because you frooze to death or had a heat stroke due to their no idling laws.

 

I have to shut mine off after 5 minutes.

 

I carry a fan in the truck. I idle the truck until it gets good and cold inside, then turn on the fan. The truck stays cool for quite awhile. When it gets too warm I start the routine again. In the summer I sleep in the nude with the fan blowing on me. Does a good job. If you keep your mpg up above a specified number each month and idle your truck, you are good to go. If you cannot maintain the mpg Conway will talk to you about it.

Good idea, nude slumber. Myself, I also sleep nude; but on my hands and knees and with a fan blowing on my backside. If I sleep with my mouth open, the wind from the fan blows up my backside and out my mouth. That way, I stay nice and cool on the inside as well as out.
