The trainer gets $20.00 a day while the student is in the truck, plus they get all the mileage the student drives too. If you can get a good student, the run Team after the 75 hour mark you can make some really good money doing it.

I was telling him to do team musicgal because he'd make more as opposed to going solo I didnt say solo made 950$ take home unless its a Dedicated acct
-
I think perdiem means they pay you your own money
-
I apologize, Matt...I must have misread something.
Yes, I get $20 a day when my student is physically on the truck...and I get paid for all miles the truck is dispatched on, no matter who is driving....the student gets $58 a day for every day they are on the truck....even the days when I am at home. -
perdiem is a joke...better read up on it, they along with all trucking companies will try and talk you into it...
It's a tax write off and they benefit greatly from it.SheepDog Thanks this. -
I hope things pick up for you Musicgal....

im teaming right now and would have had about 6k this week but about 1100 miles into a load they asked us to swap to get another driver home, which I have no problem with...except it wasnt for thanks giving it was for a speeding ticket once my trainer heard that he was pretty p/o about giving it up.. the guy was like if i get one more ticket im fired blahblah blah so due to his carelessness driving habits, my trainer lost out on about 4500 miles which p/o myself as well as I always wanted to go to Cali lol
-
Trust me, you will get to California.

Yes they asked me to repower a load for another driver cuz he was out of hours and could not make the 80 miles to do the delivery. It was 4am and it needed to be delivered at 7am. So I give up 250 miles for the load I was already on to help.
Well I got to the receiver only to find out that the load was supposed to be delivered at 7am the day before, and that I will need to call a number to have it rescheduled for tomorrow!!!
I lost 10 hours and 200 plus miles on this load where I tried to help them. -
And not always the easy way heading west on on I10...But teaming you will definitely go there.
