Let's see: stolen vehicle. speeding. vehicular manslaughter. driving after curfew (in OK anway). Charge the little bugger with EVERYTHING. As a minor, so that perhaps he might see that actions have consequences.

I can't say much about the parents in this particular instance. We all know that at some point the decisions children make need to reflect the inability of the child to make good choices, not necessarily the parents' neglect to instill them with positive examples. Good kids come out of horrific circumstances, and some kids who have everything are rotten, rotten little apples.

yea, im waiting for someone to say "where were the parents?" I can remember when I was 13 to 15..I have done alot of stuff that my parents never knew about...13 is old enough to know right from wrong...he should be charged with everything they can hit him with....Surely an accident, but to many times people walk away with "counseling" after destroying others lives.

Given that the accident occurred shortly after 3am, you know, when most of us parents are in bed, and pretty much assume our little darlings are also, I would say this is a joyride gone horribly wrong.

Otherwise parents are going to be required to be awake 24/7 ... and what would that do to the accident rate on the roads?

I've snuck out the house late at night with the car keys for a joy ride. Even bought gas to keep the gauge at the same level.
