the company I drive for provides trucks with built in antennas mounts and coax .most of the drivers are local hand delivery .which means they dont use cbs and usually break the antennas off with low tree limbs ect.I was wordering if they make A quick release Most of the time I drive the same truck for company cross docking in three states.I just want to remove the sticks so they wont get ripped off when I get out of the cab for any over night and weekends Thanks Bighig

Not for sure, but one time I remember seeing a antenna bracket somewhere with a pair of vise grips attached to it.
Bighig Thanks this. -
Firestick makes one http://www.rightchannelradios.com/images/CBs/k-4.jpg
And so does Pro Trucker http://www.rightchannelradios.com/images/CBs/ptsm1-hdl.jpgBighig Thanks this. -
I've seen that modified vice grip at truck stops, and I've also seen a made for antenna "C" style clamp. Tried to do one myself, but it didn't work out. Spend the $15 or so at the truck stop for the "C" clamp and save yourself the trouble.
Bighig Thanks this. -
Hank Breedlove's Machine Shop sells probably the best quick-release mounts you can find...They won't wobble around like some of the cheaper brands do and can handle the heavier antenna's as well as fiberglass.
Google: Hank Breedloves Machine Shop
Once you buy one of his mounts, you won't even consider using anything else.Bighig Thanks this. -
