sorry, the western express forums are pretty quiet. i just got back from my first week out. I can only speak from the terminal in Fontana California.It's a pretty good crew here in Fontana, I'm a student graduate just like you and im with a trainer for 4-6 weeks depending on how i do. The office people are really cool and Western is converting to digital logs( via qualcom ), i personally love the electronic logs because its alot less work and calculating. Western also gives you plenty of time to get your load delivered on time and if you choose to shut down due to weather, communicate that with dispatch and they will re-schedule for you. Western is less picky in hiring and our CSA score is a bit lower than schneider. schneider will hair folicle test you, western is just a piss test.

and lastly, here in the california terminal we definetly run 11 western, my trip consisted of picking up load in mira loma CA, delivering to Loveland colorado, after that picking up a load in denver CO and delivering it somewhere around Albuquerque new mexico, got another load in.... farm-something new mexico and delieverd it in wilmington california If you have specific questions feel free to ask but i do head back out wednesday or thursday depending on how quick the mechanics at the yard fix a few minor things on the truck ( which is a 2010 volvo with under 100000 miles )

Otr is not bad you can try it first. Well the nashville place is okay they are changing a lot of things there so its like a mad house but my trainer is great my DM is cool she is out ft. Dodge IA BUT I LIVE IS Va but she gets me home. Good luck be safe
