Less Than Truckload.
You could have 20 different consignees on one trailer. Most LTL drivers are home every night.
Ive been LTL for 11 years, I will never go back over the road.

I drove the Schneider South East regional out of Charlotte for awhile...The hometime was really good compared to what I have ever had. The miles sucked. So the paycheck wasnt all that great. But, I wanted the hometime. They offer the "Homerun" programs..on 14 off 7....on 7 off 7....depends where you live.

Take the Garbage hauling job. Your young, and $11.00 hr, is a start, that job will be better than the Walmart, and fast food job together. Take the garbage hauling job, and thank me later.
DO NOT HIT ANYTHING, this is the key, DO NOT HIT ANYTHING. If your not sure GET OUT AND LOOK. -
Just look for one of the following near your area:
UPS Freight
Conway
ABF
Old Dominion
Estes
Saia
Those are the best ones in my opinion. I would mess with R&L, Dayton Freight or a few others. -
Im 26 and i dont feel young but i guess i still am lmao.. But i do have the trash job in the bag. They asked me when i wanted to start and i said i wanna at least give a 2 week notice at wal mart which in response told me that is very respectful.. And when i said that to werner the recruiter tolled me if i dont jump on it the account might not be available.

adamrocks133, you`ll be home everynight, and probably no weekends, and the pay will go up. Do not job jump. stay there for atleast 3 years. I know a few guys that haul garabage to the dumps, tractor trailer, and make a real good living at it.

Trash haul job, for sure. No warehouses to deal with, no lay-offs, day time hours, home nightly.
