Your personal electronics in the truck

    When i get hired on to a new company do i need to buy my own refrigerator , Microwave, CB, and so on? or will that be there for me? The company is Covenant Transport. If i do need to buy my own and brands to stick with? I dont want to buy junk to have it crap out 3 months down the road.

    You will have to buy everything you will need. I doubt they will have an inverter in the truck to power a microwave. So you will need a cb, and one of those plugin coolers.

    Id love to purchase it but im going into this broke but by the time im a solo driver i should have a little over a 2 grand in the bank (i Pray for) not having a home or a girlfriend or wife works out for the best the money is all mine!!!!!!!!!! Or forgot to mention my cell phone bill #### it!!! Only bill i have at the moment haha!

    VTwin, if you want an inverter in a Covenant truck, then you will have to have the Chattanooga shop install it, and then (unless they have changed their rules) it must be 1000 watts or less. And they will charge you $100 bucks to do it, although they never charged a bunch of drivers who had them installed.

    But you don't need to worry about any of that crap, since you will be in a trainer's truck for around a month or more. Then you can spend your money on what you want (I suggest the fridge and sat radio).
