In my exp the gross was 15 k for
The week, the poster that was talking 15k a month clear is most likly
Correct! That would be 60k for 12 momths 720 k gross for a year so 25% profit margin.
Not cheap and stakes too high for me. Have friend who does it, has 1 trailer
He gets 10$ per mile including deadhead from his yard to pick and back
Once unloaded. Think its a 200 ton, with jeeps on both ends. The 60 ton
Gets most use and never asked rates. Farm truck can legaly gross our
    Dozer!

I could see 15k net a month. You can do this in bedbugging. however your only going to do it 3 months out of the year. So its not like $180k net a year.

My load pays me $4,500 a trip. I spend $1,500 on costs (fuel, comm charges) and bring home $3,000 a trip. I do 5 trips a month, so i make $15,000 a month.
My gross is $22,500 a month, and you can't have my job cuz I won't give it up.

I run specialized tanker for QC but it is a dedicated, single run account. I lucked in to the position and so far it has it's ups and downs. I did not work the entire month of October due to the plant shutting down for annual retooling and maintance, but I save my money so i was fine. I have an older used truck so my payment is very small and honestly I only have that to help with my taxes as it was suggested i buy an new "to-me" truck last year as my old FLD was paid for and I had no write off's besides fuel and minimal maintance. I grossed $258,000 last year, and this year is looking to be just slightly less, about $240,000

    #### man. I'm jealous. I'll probably never see anywhere close to that kind of income in my lifetime.

Our main office just hired two new women to do basic office work...answer phones, file papers, etc. Starting wage $26K/year with free insurance, vacations and bonus's.

I overheard the TK local dealer do a mechanic job interview last week and the manager told the applicant (a road driver) that he'd have to start at the bottom since he didn't have any experience.... only $16.00/hour. But he could be at $26/hr if he goes to paid schooling... the guy wanted to start NOW!!!

No, the benefits package is not free. They are working for that every bit as much as that paltry $26K/year.

went to the TA the other day, done early for the day rare and more rare to be at a truckstop for I normally go to rest areas. Got 2 dvd's $ 7-10 range,a 5th wheel puller bar $10,tylenol pm couple smaller items for around $3-4. Total $54.54. Blew me away.Half of $100. Now I eat out of the truck for the most part.Fridge, cooker etc. But there comes a point when I get sick eating out of a can like a dog does! And food that looks like prison slop.I used to live off saltine crackers and potted meat/sardines for awhile to not waste my money at truckstop ,but that gets old. I might treat myself to a breakfast or dinner if it's the wknd and delivering Monday. I use to neglect myself totally and go hungry for what? If I need to penny pinch all the time so I can barely live and pay the bills, then I'm really in the wrong industry. Like a friend told me,be nice to yourself once in awhile. I'm not a master in Zen yet,so I buy dvds, air card for internet so as to keep ones mind active and live life a little. This stareing out the windshield for hours cause one does'nt have no form of entertainment cause do'nt want to spend a few dollars, mind numbing, the only way I would be able to that I would need a 12 pack and maybe some weed so time would go by quicker. Not that those things.Only live once.
