Anyone know anything about Hunt Transportation?

I know they are owned by Crete. Flatbed.

I haven't been able to find out much about them from any forums.

I guess maybe no news is good news. They're safestat #'s are so-so, but no where near as bad as TMC or Arrow.

They aren't that big of a company so they dont attract the bad publicity others do.

They should probably have a disclaimer emblazoned on all their equipment.

How low is low at Davis? Hunt is offering .36 after a few weeks of training(I've never pulled a flat before) at 500/wk.

    #### that is pretty low. Maybe they're someone to consider when I go O/O next year. I've been reading your O/O thread with great interest BTW.

Looks like Hunt for now. I'm going to be in company driver purgatory till spring(I hope) then we'll see.

I believe they do O/O too. It may turn out you like them enough to do that with them.

Found this on a recruiting site:

".....Thanks for considering HUNT Transportation, Inc. (no affiliation with J B Hunt)....."
".....Hunt Transport (we are not J B Hunt) honors Recent Military Driver Experience....."

Both lines where on the same page! :) :)

Any info on this company. They just left two messages on my answering machine to start orientation next week, and seem desperate to get me on my way there (I assume in Omaha, Neb.-Do they pay your way there?). Before I get my feet wet, I am concerned about the pay (kinda low at .36 a mile) and hometime. I know they haul John Deere equipment, so does that mean really wide combines and farm tractors? I have 3 speeding tickets and so far they are the only ones that have called me. I have been laid off from Yellow Freight for almost a year. If I took the job, any chance of switching to Crete?
