Just south of 4 grand unless you use VA benefits to pay for the tuition then it can be just under 6k.

Thanks Grendavik. Trying to decide on them or a local PTDI certified community college. Appear to cost about the same but maybe I'd get more time to practice in ATDS lot after normal class hours.

You won't need extra practice after hours. You'll have plenty of seat time both on the road and in the yard doing backing exercises. Half the class will go on the road in the morning while the other half remains in the yard doing angle backing. Then the two groups switch in the afternoon.

I am looking for recent graduates from ATDS that have been hired onto position related to oil field work in the Permian or Eagle Ford Shale areas? If you're whiling to tell me about your experiences it would be greatly appreciated. I am due to retire from the U.S. Army soon and trying to come to a decision if going to ATDS and pursuing route is practical option or if there is another route I can choose that I haven't become aware of yet. Thanks!!

I talked with a top guy at Scheider and he ranked them the best if you're looking for a school closed to DFW/central Texas. He said a lot of schools teach you just enough to pass the DMV but that atds takes the time to teach you how to be a trucker.
