AT, I 've followed a lot of your posts, and find them, for the most part to be informative and positive. Not to mention your videos, that also have tried to give those exploring a career as a driver, some insight as to what it is really like to be on the road. You also have displayed a level of wisdom that is well beyond your youthful age.
Taking into consideration that the printed word is subject to misinterpretation, I'm still surprised at your comments against MTC. Are you saying W/S is without fault ?
Democrat / Republican, Ford / Chevy, Coke/Pepsi, obviously everybody is not going to agree 100 percent. However, as a satisfied driver for MTC, I have to agree with the objective statements of justawheelholderfornow. I'm just a little miffed at your comments. . . just sayin'

I couldn't have said it better myself lol

I know my posts are sunshine and roses, but for me, and MY MTC experience, IT IS SUNSHINE AND ROSES! I will make well over $40k this year, taking 5-6 days off every 4-5 weeks...in a 60mph truck, e-logs, and ELD pay level. The negativity in this forum makes me never want to post again/keep posting that much more! lol

And if u get a load that's got plenty of time communicate to drop or deliver early I'm also a may driver who is very happy been here 16 months and I've ran 9600 miles in 3 weeks which is more than a grand take home and normally 7_900 take home don't complain and deliver your loads on time and you'll never have to worry like wheel holder said I don't c how people aren't getting miles they re prob truck stop heros would rather be in the drivers section bs n then driving

All i said is he should be more worried about paying to idle, which is a FACT as confirmed above.

I've even recommended MTC to drivers on here 100's of times. I'm not saying may is a bad company, i was just pointing out one down side.

And i've never said W/S doesnt have their issues.

this is what i was told by trucker steve:

"may isnt putting APU's on the trucks, because the arent cost effective to the company because they trade the trucks out to often"

I can see idling while you're sleeping. It's hard to sleep when it's hot/humid out. I can remember pulling a few heavy loads up a steep hill and had to turn the AC off. Probably got to over 110 inside the cab. I lived to tell about it and didn't overheat the truck. But idling while you're just sitting seems like a waste. It's probably cooler outside. It's a good time to get some inspection done.
Personally, for me it's about revenue. If everyone cared about making top dollar for the truck, we might get a pay raise. Just don't don't complain about getting cheap wages while your sitting there idling.

OMG!!! Somebody who understands it from a business perspective!!! it's about time!!
hmmm....if everyone just ran it all night, like so many on here feel you should be able to...1000 trucks x $40/night WASTED ($4/gal x 10hrs)
Gee...I wonder why they have an idle policy?!?! :biggrin_25521:

Last night, 62 degrees in Wichita Falls, TX. I walk thru the Pilot parking lot, and no less than 15 trucks idling...WTF?!?! Most were O/O...their prerogative, but really? 62 degrees out? You just wasted $40 OF YOUR MONEY!!! Those are usually the guys, who idle all night, every night...
There are at least 100 nights a year to sleep with just windows open (not too hot, not too cold) That's $4000!!!

    shawbag Thanks this.
