..I've heard that Volvo's ride better than any other stock truck on the market but they've always looked cheap to me & the dash too, but it's been a few years since I've looked inside one so that's just a biased opinion I guess; if it's quiet at 65, rides nice & can pull on hills that's all I care about.. & of course if it can stay outta the shop thats a plus too.. :biggrin_25525:

Yea. It stinks. But it actually ain't as bad as I thought it would be. But we will see when I get this load on me. It is 40000 something so it should be a good test

It's all in your rhythm on shifting gears, and knowing your road speeds for down shifting. Get to know the gear pattern of a EATON 10 speed by memory. And if you miss a gear DON'T PANIC!!! Look at your road speed then go to that gear that matches the speed. AND RELAX!!!!

When you are learning to shirt, it is best to shift early 1200-1300 rpms and keep pressure on the stick just as you back out of the fuel. Its really learning the "feel". Don't stress about, it just comes with seat time.

As for advice on the Academy....read this entire thread, its all here.

Well pulling your every day hills she is great. She may drop 3 mph but once she hits 1200-1250 rpm's she just stops slowing down and pulls. All in all she is a great truck. The jake Is INSANE and will drop her 10 mph in about 4 seconds. The rights age awesome and lite up the road atleast 20 seconds ahead, its like the sun comes out just for me. She has awesome braking power, far better then my international. And after getting used to the 8 speed I actually growing on me. A little more power would be nice but we can judge that one she is broke in.
