Getting a good trainer is luck of the draw. If you don't like your trainer just ask for another. I'v meet some of the trainers. Some of them seem ok. I had a good trainer but he is no longer there. The best one is Ellis, you can try and get him. He has been there for 8 year.

The tarp pay sucks @ $15. Western is not the best company but they are layed back and easy to work for. So good luck to you.

 

Yeah I guess am lucky too I have a good trainer you can say my first week I drove like 2600 miles just got back from cali and now going La then home for thanksgivingyeah tarp pay sucks but the people at nashville are nice and the thre guys for load securement r cool u get paid for those two days am have two more weeks with this train then I get my truck. Flatbed runs all 48. I run mostly ms, la, tx, co, ok, ks, mo, mi, wi, il, in, oh, tn, ky, wv, va, nc, sc, ga, al. I might run the northeast once a month. But if you live in the northeast you will run it more.

You got to stay out with your trainer at least 30 days if your right out of school.

 

lilmurdoc you should get some good home time. We have paper going into Norfolk and sheetrock coming out everyday.

i want a trainer who won't smoke in the truck while he's training me and i'm trying to sleep. what's the chance of that or can i just request a non smoking trainer?

 

Most companies will try to pair you with a non-smoker if you ask. At least that is my understanding.
